Investment Process

We have a well-defined investment process, which forms a fundamental element of our service proposition.

Our core investment process combines asset allocation, fund selection, portfolio construction and risk management. The construction of investment portfolios that match attitudes to risk take into consideration a wide range of factors such as:

Asset allocation

Our Investment Committee considers where markets are in their own cycles and determines the best allocation of assets, between equities, bonds and other types of investment. The Investment Committee is responsible for providing overall strategic and tactical focus to our decision-making process. We incorporate valuable data and resources from global investment houses including JP Morgan, Schroders, Artemis, Old Mutual Global Investors and Standard Life Aberdeen.

Portfolio construction

We focus on selecting a suitable blend of funds that will complement each other in current market conditions. These funds reflect our current investment ideas to construct portfolios around suitable benchmarks, while also taking into account our clients’ risk profiles.

Our investment portfolios are reviewed on a quarterly basis making relevant updates to reflect our changing views and market conditions. Portfolios are constantly evolving and we continue to invest in the resources required to ensure they remain robust.
